You're probably familiar with TED Talks, but did you know they're now international, with independent events held worldwide? There was recently a TED Talk in Rio (TEDx Rio), and there was another one held last year, also in Rio, called TEDx Sudeste. There have also been talks in São Paulo, Manaus and Porto Alegre.
