I just wanted to write a little note about a few things:
1. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of the kind words of support and encouragement regarding me and Eli's big move. It's very nerve-wracking and scary to admit I'm leaving Brazil, and I was really happy to receive so many wonderful comments.
2. In regards to the auction, the reason I didn't open it up to bidders outside of Brazil is because you will have to pay at least twice the cost of the book just to have it shipped to you, but I've already had two people interested, so I'm just putting this out there as a warning. Also, payment must be received by all non-Rio based bidders before their items are shipped.
3. Also about the auction, I'm going to have to set a minimum of R$150 in total bids in order to go through with it, because otherwise it won't be a very useful endeavor (I guess I overestimated the interest in the books). If I don't reach the R$150 mark by Monday, I'm going to cancel the auction and find somewhere to donate the books (suggestions welcome).
Rachel, before moving back to NYC with Eli, you'll make a goodbye party, won't you? Let's put all your blog fans together. Thanks!
