Rachel,

Don´t give up the spa idea. There is a great day spa in Barra, in the Barra Square shopping mall (the one with the ice rink). It is called Relax Day Spa and I think they have a website. They offer all kinds of massages and spa treatments. A bit pricey (I think and hour massage is around R$100), but these things are never cheap. I have had very good experiences with them - felt MAJORLY pampered (which after all, is the point, right?)

Well, he does have a nice ass.

It can be difficult to find a masseuse in Hong Kong. A friend and I went to what seemed like a legitimate foot-massage place, and, yes, we saw guys getting foot massages but we also heard, from behind curtains, men making noises that not even the most awesome foot massage in the world would cause a man to make. We tried to leave the place, but the owner first blocked our path to the door and when we finally got around her, she yelled at us in Cantonese. It was even more disturbing in Thailand because the happy-ending massage is very common and accepted, and I have one friend who went to Bangkok with her husband and in one massage place, the masseuse even tried to give the full happy-ending to her husband WHILE SHE WAS IN THE ROOM.
