Hi the world of English teachers,

I have been in São Paulo since 2003 - 07 and returned this January for good. I have been involved in the English teaching sector since I first arrived, I have a club here in São Paulo called www.englishclubbrazil.com.br, we give an native evironment in a social atmosphere for people who want to practice their English and increase their social and business networks, we have 11,500 members since January.

I have been involved with nearly all of the so called English schools since I have been here and not ONE of them actually teaches students to SPEAK English. Consequently I am now offering the only methodology in Brazil that I have come across that teaches people to speak the language for a very fair prices whilst also allowing the owner of the school to make a decent and fair living.

The investment is 15 thousand reais (not much) and, if you are an accredited English teacher here, I have already negotiated a very favourable, finance deal for teachers with the Banco do Brasil and/or Banco Nordeste.

We already have 9 schools in São Paulo and are looking to spread nationally on a huge basis. I haven't even started advertising this opportunity in real terms yet, I want to see if I can do an "Arctic Monkeys" and do it on a viral basis.

I have always kept well away from any language schools here in terms of selling their services as I believe that most schools are only interested in maintaining students as a cash cow for the (normally, non bilingual) owner, who only sees the school as an act of entrepreneurialism - this methodology and school are totally different! This school actually cares that it's students learn to SPEAK English within 26 months, and is even involved in a large scale Social Project in São Paulo, working on a pro-bono basis with young adults from favelas, teaching them English.

This is how I came into contact with them and it was from this that my understanding and respect for their revolutionary method grew.

My weapon is English and my enemy is the incumbent language sector. They are greedy and lazy and they have no respect for students. I want to help Brazil become what it deserves to be and in order to do that I want to deliver English on as lower cost basis that I can. That means getting English teachers to invest their hearts and money in setting up our methodology - using our logo, didactic materials, administration methods and training methods in order to realise what should be all our target - to get Brazil on the English speaking map of the world. And I don't just mean to middle class people, I am talking teaching English to poor people and working class people (as you know, there is a difference).

Anyway, I am not that good at marketing and I hope this has not come across as a spam, it isn't, it's a real opportunity for you to grow your revenue and help Brazil become what it can.

Dona do Site (não sei o seu nome perdão), por favor, PELAMORDEDEUS, não ponha professores Brasileiros na sua lista de professores, todo mundo aqui está louco atrás de professores nativos, se você colocar brasileiros na sua lista ninguém mais vai confiar nas suas indicações porque muita gente que fez 2 meses de intercambizinho nos Estados Unidos vai começar a se apresentar neste site como "professor nativo" e quando os alunos descobriem que não é, a alegação dele vai ser de que "aquela lista não era só de professores nativos" (brasileiro é malandro) e aí vão por a culpa em você.

Alguém aí em cima falou que professor nativo não é garantia de qualidade? Não é qualidade no sentido "gramatical" ou "léxico" que nós queremos aqui, muita gente em países Anglófonos (me desculpe Dona do Site) fala errado que é um horror, amontoando palavras, abreviando, gírias ininteligíveis, sotaques regionais, uns lá no Texas falam "para dentro" e nós temos que NOS VIRAR para entender o que é que eles querem dizer e boa gramática ou léxico não ajudam em nada numa situação dessas... O que nós queremos é sermos capazes de entender o que é que a pessoa está FALANDO e sermos capazes de FALAR de modo inteligível para essas mesmas pessoas e não é o professor brasileiro que aprendeu tudo bonitinho num cursinho de Inglês da vida que vai ser de ajuda só o PROFESSOR NATIVO poderá nos ajudar... Aliás muitos de nós aqui que corremos atrás de professores nativos já somos esse tipo de aluno que já aprendeu inglês o suficiente para ler livros ou escrever textos em língua inglesa sem problema algum, mas na hora que um turista estrangeiro nos pára na rua para pedir uma informação ou não entendemos picas ou ele é que não entende picas da nossa resposta... então de que adianta a tal "qualidade"?

Todos os professores da lista são nativos. Os brasileiros na lista moraram muito tempo nos EUA, uma inclusive cresceu lá e passou mais tempo lá do que no Brasil.

Existem critérios objetivos para escolher um professor. Diplomas de proficiência como o CPE aliados a cursos de Letras são indicativos de competência. Ser nativo simplesmente não é.
